Mr Adam Watts
BSc MBBS FRCS (Trauma and Orth)

Mr Adam Watts is Consultant Orthopaedic Elbow and Upper Limb Surgeon at the Wrightington Hospital. He graduated from London University in 1977 and followed this with specialist training in Edinburgh and a 2 year Fellowship in Adelaide, Australia and the Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire. His clinical interests include the treatment of degenerative joint disease, sports injury and trauma, with a particular focus on arthroscopic techniques and joint reconstruction. Adam works with a number of clubs, professional athletes and the European Golf Tour. He has published extensively on upper limb surgery and regularly lectures nationally and internationally. He is dedicated to research and medical education and sits on the Research and Audit Committee of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also the research and governance lead for the Upper Limb Unit at the Wrightington Hospital. Adam is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Materials at Manchester University.
