Mr Fergal McGoldrick
MCh.FRCS Ed Orth, FRCSI, FFSEM


Fergal graduated from University College Dublin in 1982. He was awarded his F.R.C.S.I. in l986; and his F.R.C.S. Orth. in 1990.    His Masters Thesis in Growth Plate Pathophysiology , was awarded in 1990. In 2003, he became a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

On completion of his Specialist Orthopaedic Training he was Lecturer in Orthopaedics at the R.C.S.I. He was a recipient of the R.C.S.I. Ethicon and Irish American Travelling Fellowships and has undertaken Fellowship and Specialist training in France and in the United States.

Fergal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at the Hermitage Medical Clinic, with attending privileges in Blackrock Clinic and Mount Carmel Hospital.
 
His special interests are large joint arthroplasty of the hip, knee and shoulder and treatment of sports related injuries of the three respective joints, with particular attention to arthroscopic techniques and management of early degenerative change in the younger adult.
