Martin Colclough
OBE


Martin Colclough is Head of Sports Recovery for the Charity Help for Heroes (H4H); a role which he took up in 2011. Martin served in the Army, rstly in the Parachute Regiment followed by the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC). He trained as a Joint Service Remedial Instructor at the Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital, Woolwich and holds a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation and Research from Southampton University. During a career break in 2006/7 he became the Senior Paralympic Performance Manager at UK Athletics and he was a member of the Paralympics GB Core Sta for the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Paralympic Games. He was also the Team Manager for the UK Armed Forces Team at the 2015 and 2016 Invictus Games. Martin’s role today with H4H is to develop and deliver adaptive sport and adventurous training opportunities for wounded, injured and sick personnel to help maintain an active and independent lifestyle, participate in competitive sport and through the delivery of vocational training courses.
